Western District Court

Jurisdiction

The Fulton County, Western District Court's territorial jurisdiction covers the City of Wauseon, the Villages of Archbold and Fayette, and Townships of Chesterfield, Clinton, Dover, Franklin, German, Gorham, and portions of Royalton. The Western District Court jurisdiction includes all incidents arising west of the centerline of County Road 13.

The Fulton County, Western District Court hears cases involving civil suits for the recovery of money damages up to $15,000 and small claims for the recovery of money damages up to $6,000. The Criminal/Traffic division brings conclusions to cases involving misdemeanors. The court also conducts preliminary hearings in felony cases.
