NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING

The Fulton County Commissioners intends to apply to the Ohio Department of Development under the F.Y. 2013 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Economic Development Program, a federally funded program administered by the state. The County is eligible for up to $500,000 for each project of Fiscal Year 2013 CDBG funding providing the County meets the applicable program requirements. On March 7, 2013, the County conducted its first public hearing on the program, how it may be used, what activities are eligible, and other important program requirements.
Based on citizen input and local official’s assessment of the County’s needs, the county is proposing to undertake the following Economic Development Program activities for Fiscal Year 2013.
1. Total Project Budget: $19,430,000
2. CDBG Budget: $264,240 CDBG Funding for a grant for the development of a rail spur extension to serve Fulton County Processing, LTD. in the County of Fulton.
3. National Objective: Benefit Low/Moderate Income Citizens with 14 anticipated jobs to be created
4. Program Funding: Community Development Block Grant, Economic Development Program
The Second Public Hearing will be held on Monday, July 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. local time, at the Fulton County Commissioners Chambers, located on the 152 S. Fulton Street, Suite 270, Wauseon, Ohio 43567. The public hearing is to give the citizens the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed activities.
Citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting on July 16, 2013 to express their views and comments on the County’s Economic Development Program Application(s).
