[ARCHIVED] Advertisement for Bids for Solid Waste and Recycling Contractual Services

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Board of Fulton County Commissioners will receive bids for the Contractual Services of providing containers and the disposal of waste AND for the Contractual Service of recycling ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal at the Fulton County Solid Waste Facility. Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Commissioners at 152 S. Fulton Street, Suite 270, Wauseon, Ohio 43567 until 9:30 am, local time, on August 2, 2011 for the provision of all labor, materials, and required equipment relating to said Bids in accordance with plans and specifications.
Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at the office of the Board of Fulton County Commissioners, 152 S. Fulton Street, Suite 270, Wauseon, Ohio, 43567 on August 2, 2012 at 9:31 a.m. for the Contractual Service of providing containers and the disposal of waste at the Fulton County Solid Waste Facility and 9:35 a.m. for the Contractual Service of providing containers and the recycling of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Scrap Metal.
Plans and specifications may be obtained or examined at the office of the Fulton County Department of Public Utilities at 152 South Fulton Street, Suite 240, Wauseon, Ohio 43567 (419-337-9263) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Each bid must contain the full name of every person, firm or corporation interested in same, and be accompanied by a bid bond with adequate surety and to the satisfaction of Fulton County, cashier’s check or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of bid, as guarantee that if the bid is accepted a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. Should any bid be rejected, such check will be returned forthwith to the bidder, and should any bid be accepted, such bid bond or check will be retained until the contract is entered into with the successful bidder. Bids must be submitted on forms provided.
After the award of the contract let by competitive bid and prior to the time the contract is entered into, bidders shall submit the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Fulton County, Ohio.
The Board of Fulton County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
