The Maumee Valley Planning Organization (MVPO) is currently working with Fulton County to begin looking into coordinating transportation resources and understanding any gaps and unmet needs that may exist. The information gathered through this survey will be used for Fulton County's Locally Developed Coordinated Transportation Plan. The purpose of this plan is to identify community resources for transportation, understand the gaps and unmet needs within those resources, and to determine the approach to addressing those gaps and unmet needs. The purpose of this survey is to understand how Fulton County residents feel about transportation in the County.

Coordination of health and human services and public transit has been demonstrated to reduce costs and increase access to services for older adults, people with disabilities and other transportation disadvantaged populations. Additionally, the coordinated plan is a requirement for Specialized Transportation (Section 5310) funding through the Ohio Department of Transportation. Only projects that are included in a coordinated plan may be eligible for Section 5310 funding.
