The Records Department is now known as the Microfilm Center.
Public Records
Fulton County maintains open and accessible records. We attempt to fulfill every request for public information as quickly as possible and within the requirements of the Ohio Public Records Act.
Ohio Public Records Act
The Ohio Public Records Act requires public offices to make records kept by the public office available.
Records are documents, items, and devices, including electronic records, created or received by or coming under the jurisdiction of a public office, which document the organization, functions, policies, decisions, procedures, operations, or other activities of the office.
Request Procedure
To request public records, contact the Microfilm Center (419) 337-9262. Requests should be as detailed as possible. Some requests may need to be formally submitted in writing.
Disclosed Records
Records that are prohibited from disclosure under the Ohio Public Records Act cannot be made available to the public. Fulton County may also withhold certain private and/or financial information about individuals that will not be released without that individual's consent.
