The County Recorder maintains permanent land records, retains them in archival form so they are accessible to the public.  The Fulton County Recorder also oversees the Microfilm/Records Center where permanent records are being archived electronically and microfilmed for all county departments.  By Ohio Revised Code the Recorder is also a member of the Records Commission which is responsible for Records Retention and Disposal of documents.
 

In 2016 they filed 8,503 documents. Of those documents, there were:

2,034 Deeds
3,793
Mortgages
173 Liens
32 Leases
Partnership
76 Power of Attorneys
3 Plats 
5 Solider Discharges
2,383 Miscellaneous   

Gross revenue for 2016 was $334,481.45 of which $162,462.35 was dispersed to the Ohio Housing Trust Fund. This leaves $170,019.10 for the County's General Fund.
