CCMEP

Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP)

Overview of CCMEP

CCMEP is an innovative initiative designed to support low-income young adults in establishing career pathways, securing employment, and breaking the cycle of poverty. The program provides a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the individual needs of each participant.

Eligibility Criteria

The program primarily serves low-income youth and young adults aged 14 to 24.

Available Services

Depending on individual needs, participants may access a variety of services, including:

- Paid and unpaid work experience opportunities

- Career counseling and coaching

- Education and vocational training

- Tutoring and academic support

- Preparation for college or occupational credentialing

- Support services such as transportation, childcare, housing assistance, uniforms, and work-related tools

- Entrepreneurship support and business start-up assistance

- Budgeting and financial literacy education

- High school equivalency preparation

- Counseling and mentoring programs

- Leadership development initiatives

Unique Aspects of CCMEP

CCMEP combines funding from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) youth program and the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program to provide integrated, personalized services. Ohio was among the first states to explore this level of cross-program collaboration. Unlike many traditional anti-poverty programs, CCMEP emphasizes meaningful employment and skill development activities that foster long-term, sustainable careers. The program prioritizes a participant-focused approach, allowing caseworkers flexibility to offer services that leverage individual strengths, enhance skills, and address specific needs.
